Feature

Wrap Edge: add wrap allowance to any edge

Wrap Edge extends a section of a pattern's edge outward by a distance you choose, so the film can wrap around to the back of a panel. Click two points on the piece's outline to mark the section, enter the wrap distance, and apply it.

How to wrap an edge

  1. Select the piece and choose the Wrap Edge tool.
  2. Click two points along the piece's outline. The section between them is the wrap zone.
  3. Enter the wrap distance.
  4. Click Apply. That section of the edge moves outward by the distance you entered; the rest of the piece is unchanged.

Wrap Edge does not add relief cuts for you. If the wrapped section goes around a tight corner, you may still need to relieve it by hand during the install.

Common questions

Can I wrap only part of an edge?

Yes. The two points you click decide exactly which section is extended, so you can wrap one edge of a hood or door and leave the others at the original size.

Does it change the original pattern in the library?

No. It changes the copy open in your tab. You can save your edited version to your account with Cloud Project Saves.
