Cookie Policy

Overview

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies (together, "Trackers") are, how PPF/Tint Studio ("we," "us," or "our") uses them on ppftintstudio.com and within the PPF/Tint Studio desktop application, and the choices available to you.

For simplicity, all such technologies are referred to in this document as "Trackers," unless there is a reason to differentiate — for example, the term "Cookies" is used specifically where it refers to that particular browser-based type of Tracker.

Some of the purposes for which Trackers are used may require your consent, depending on applicable law. Whenever consent is given, it can be freely withdrawn at any time using the cookie preferences link in the site footer.

First-Party and Third-Party Trackers

We use Trackers managed directly by us ("first-party" Trackers) and, where noted below, Trackers that enable services provided by a third party ("third-party" Trackers). Unless otherwise specified, third-party providers may access the Trackers they manage.

The lifetime of Cookies and other Trackers varies depending on the setting used — some expire when your browsing session ends, while others persist for a set period to remember your preferences across visits.

How We Use Trackers

Necessary. We use strictly necessary Trackers to carry out activities that are required for the site and the Service to function — for example, keeping you signed in, remembering the cookie choice you've made, and supporting secure checkout during subscription sign-up. These cannot be turned off, since the site and Service cannot function properly without them.

Analytics. Analytics help us measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it over time. The only analytics tool we use is Cloudflare Web Analytics, and it runs only if you turn on Analytics in the cookie preferences (or choose "Accept all"). It doesn't set cookies or use device fingerprinting, doesn't follow you across other websites, and gives us only aggregated statistics — such as page views, referring sites, country, browser and device type, and page-load performance. It stays off by default and only runs with your consent.

Marketing. Marketing Trackers would be used to measure and personalize advertising shown to you. This category is currently inactive and not used anywhere on the site today. It is offered as an opt-in category in advance, so nothing changes for existing visitors if it's ever activated.

Necessary cookies aside, no Tracker is set until you make a choice in the cookie preferences panel, and analytics and marketing stay off unless you actively turn them on.

Trackers Used by Our Service Providers

A small number of the services we rely on to run the Service may set their own necessary cookies while you're actively using them — for example, our payment processor, Stripe, sets cookies during checkout to support fraud prevention and secure payment processing. These fall under the Necessary category above, since the Service could not process payments securely without them.

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising networks, or social media widgets on this site. Our only analytics provider is Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Web Analytics), described under Analytics above. If that changes, this policy and our cookie preferences panel will be updated accordingly before any such Tracker is set.

How to Manage Your Preferences

You can review or change your cookie preferences at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of this website. From there, you can turn Analytics and Marketing on or off — Necessary cookies cannot be disabled, as explained above.

You can also control or delete cookies directly through your browser's settings, which typically let you see what's been set, block Trackers going forward, or clear existing ones. Browser-level controls, however, don't offer the same category-by-category control as our cookie preferences panel. Check your browser's help documentation for the specific steps for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.

Consequences of Declining Trackers

You're free to decline non-essential Trackers at any time. Doing so won't prevent you from using the core Service, though it may mean we're unable to offer certain optional, improved experiences — for example, understanding which parts of the site are most useful so we can improve them.
