Feature
Cut Order: choose the sequence your plotter cuts in
Cut Order lets you set the exact sequence your plotter cuts pieces in. Turn the tool on and click the pieces in the order you want; each one gets a number badge. Any piece you don't number is cut afterwards, in the automatic bottom-to-top order.

How to set a cut order
- Select the Cut Order tool.
- Click the pieces on the canvas in the sequence you want them cut. Each shows its number.
- To take a piece out of the sequence, click it again. The later numbers shift down so the sequence stays unbroken.
- Send the job. Numbered pieces are cut first, in your order; the rest follow from the bottom of the layout to the top.
The order is set per tab, so each job you have open keeps its own sequence.
Why the order matters
A plotter cuts by rolling the film back and forth under the blade. The more the film travels between cuts, the more chances it has to drift, which matters most on long pieces and on thick film. Setting the order yourself lets you decide which pieces are cut first and how far the film has to travel between them, instead of leaving that to the software.
Common questions
Do I have to number every piece?
No. Number only the pieces you care about. Everything else is cut after them in the automatic bottom-to-top order.
Is Cut Order included in the Window Tint Only plan?
Yes. Every editing and cutting tool is included in both plans. The plans differ only in which pattern library you get. See pricing.
